Based on the #201, the second-line model of the 501 produced from around 1890 through the 1940s. The fit has been updated with a slightly deeper rise and a reshaped back-rise curve to reduce tightness through the seat and improve overall comfort. The denim is woven with a mix of uniquely shaped yarns to create an uneven slub texture, while the ageing and distressing are reproduced entirely by hand. Particular attention is given to the selvage fading, with a muted grey tone designed to replicate the appearance of naturally aged denim. Finished with original iron tack buttons that may darken or develop rust over time. Due to the hand-finishing process, each pair will vary slightly in texture, colour, size and distressing.
