The R18S4 "OD Shirt" is a straight cut silhouette that has been over-dyed with natural colouring. Its features include a classic stand collar, full button placket, buttoned cuffs and a large left-chest pocket.

MAN-TLE's dying this season was commissioned to Amami-Oshima based Kanai Kougei. Master craftsman Yukihito Kanai works to preserve the 1300 year old traditional mud-dye techniques of the island, while working to express his own view on the materials within reach. With a personal fascination in gradation and new combinations of colour, this shirt employs pigment of Mangosteen as well as local woods which impart tannins into the fabric that later react to the iron-rich mud found there, developing a dark brown colour. Please note that there may be some irregularities in the cloth — and the colour is designed to evolve with exposure to sunlight and wear.
