Chromexcel cow leather upper produced by Horween Leather Co. a family–run tannery in Chicago. The leather is sourced as a by–product of farming, then tanned using a recipe developed over a century ago involving barks, natural oils and pigments. Combined with chrome tanning for softness and durability, vegetable tanning offers fullness and an ability for the leather to develop patina. The sole is hand assembled using lightweight Vibram EVA Vi–Lite materials produced in the USA. Made in the USA.
