A slightly relaxed, subtly tapered pant featuring 1/2" pleats, quarter top front pockets, single ‘hand style’ welt pocket on back right side, french seams, wool washer backed YKK buttons, clean finish button fly and single needle belt loops.
A very unique corduroy with a great irregular character from the particular dyeing, washing and drying processes. The very dry hand is achieved both through the use of hemp and also the open air drying. The cloth was machine dyed in Kyoto using gallnuts with an iron mordant - these dyers specialize in very consistently colored predominantly natural dye processes - achieved by stabilizing the more unpredictable natural dyes with the use of a small percentage of conventional dye and by dyeing with machines as opposed to by hand.
