Their history started out when great grandfather and family patriarch, Hyman Moscot, arrived by boat to America via Ellis Island in 1899. Hyman soon found his way around his newfound country and started making a living by selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart along Manhattan’s famed Lower East Side. And, as they say, the rest is history.
