BATONER
In Sweden we use knitwear all year round. Since it is an essential part of our wardrobe it has always wayed heavy for us when curating our selection. In our search for the perfect knit we came across Batoner, a Japanese brand that specialize in producing thought-out products that are crafted with care. Batoner was founded in Sagae City, Yamagata Prefecture in 2013, an area known as sacred ground for its long history in knitwear production. Surrounded by high peaks and clear flowing streams, this is where Batoner knits, links, stitches and process their raw materials, it is home to their entire production. Keeping close relationships and producing products only with neighboring artisans the brand withholds a genuine and individual outlook.
Batoner combine traditional handiwork with machinery, taking advantage of old techniques and applying them to new standards. The brand is constantly evolving and refining their methods, striving to create timeless and signature knitwear motivated by their will to pass on Japanese tradition and proudly boast it to the world.

Regular fit short sleeved T-shirt made with linen from Normandy, northwestern France, a region known for producing high-quality linen. Simply knitted in a loose jersey weave, and repeatedly washed to create a supple drape and a light, soft feel. Featuring a binded collar and set-in sleeve. Due to the nature of the material, this T-shirt may show fabric skewing and slubs.

Short sleeved T-shirts made with jersey knit were once called "meriyasu shirts." Batoner analyzed the yarn used in vintage T-shirts of that era and reproduced a similar one. By knitting it tightly on old-fashioned knitting machines, the brand created a fabric with a rich texture. The lightweight and smooth "Light" fabric is characterized by its high density yet supple and soft feel. Made with seamless construction and a regular fit it features single stitched cuffs and hem and set in sleeves.
